How To Pressure Wash Siding

Cleaning your home’s siding has an amazing effect on the appearance of outside décor. You may be pleasantly surprised by how vibrant siding looks after washing away accumulated dirt and splash marks from rain. Giving your exterior a brilliant surface is an easy home maintenance project, and with a pressure washer by your side, it may only take an hour or so. Best of all, there’s no scrubbing required.

How To Clean Siding With a Pressure Washer

If you don’t have a pressure washer of your own, you can probably rent one from a local hardware store. You’ll also need detergent for your specific type of siding. It’s easy to get cleaning products for stucco, aluminum siding, vinyl siding, stone, brick and wood exteriors.
Apply the cleaning solution to a portion of the siding according to instructions and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then, rinse it off using the pressure washer’s telescoping wand. It’s best to aim the spray downwards to make sure all of the moisture stays on the outside.
